VOLUNTEER

There are lots of roles in order to make the revolution work, something for everyone, so please feel free to let us know what skills and time you have, just fill in the form below.

All roles are voluntary, though we are working hard on bringing in more funding so some will be able to have volunteer living expenses covered.

The following roles are a priority:

1. Funding & Finance Support Volunteer

About the Role: We’re seeking organised, detail-oriented individuals to help refine our budget and funding strategy. You’ll assist with finalising our draft funding applications, reaching out to potential funders, completing application forms, and tracking progress. Additionally, you’ll monitor and record donations and expense claims using our Open Collective platform.

Time Commitment: Initially just a few hours per week, increasing as the campaign grows (additional volunteers can be recruited later if needed).

Ideal Volunteer:

  • Good with numbers and budgeting
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling online forms and platforms
  • Good written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills

2. Alliance Builder Volunteer

About the Role: Are you an enthusiastic networker who loves connecting people? You’ll be helping us expand our alliances by reaching out to potential partner organisations, following up leads, and nurturing new connections. You’ll manage incoming enquiries through our email, send out media and action packs, provide information, answer queries, and assist in setting up meetings.

Time Commitment: Flexible, ideally a few hours each week initially.

Ideal Volunteer:

  • Confident communicator
  • Friendly and proactive
  • Good organisational skills
  • Comfortable with email and online communications

3. Volunteer Coordinator

About the Role: Are you good with people and people planning!?

We have a small – but – growing number of volunteers coming forward to help with the campaign. Signal groups are forming, and work is underway. As new crew comes forward, we need to help them into roles, and help keep track of their involvement – a sort of ‘onboarding’ process.

We also need to keep an eye on what work is coming up that needs people – and make sure there are the resources to support the volunteers in their work.

Ideal Volunteer:

  • Friendly and helpful
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable using apps and WhatsApp

Time Commitment: From a couple of hours a week – to as much time as you’re comfortable with.
